Next Pilgrimage with Swami Vishwananda: South India (December 9th til 22nd, 2014)

Bhakti Marga offers travel packages for people interested in pilgrimages to holy sites. 

Pilgrimages are journeys where we travel on the outside to reach deeper levels in the inside. When one travels on a pilgrimage, the journey becomes more than an ordinary trip. After every pilgrimage the accounts of those who participated speak volumes. They undergo a major spiritual transformation, each one in his or her personal way. 

Bhakti Marga, under the guidance of Sri Swami Vishwananda, has hosted pilgrimages to many parts of the world, rich in religious history, such as India, Israel and France. The latest pilgrimage will take place in South India from December 9^th – 22^nd, 2014. 

Participants will have the chance to visit ancient temples in the heart of South India, often referred to as the “homeland of Ayurveda” and the “Land of God”. They will also get the opportunity to explore the backwater towns and villages of South India on a traditional Indian boat. 

South India with its palm trees, spices, tea-and-coffee estates, beaches and wonderful quiet landscapes is the perfect place to let go of your worries and immerse yourself in the spiritual wealth of the land. 

As part of the pilgrimage, special trips to Mysore, the “Sandalwood City”, and Bangalore are planned; where hidden treasures are waiting to reveal themselves.

Before Swami Vishwananda started his trip home he was, among other places, also at the beach.

As sad the devotees in Brazil are - we are very happy that Swami Vishwananda is coming back soon.

Swami Vishwananda visits a Sai Baba school in Belo Horizonte

Yesterday, 13th of March, Swami Vishwananda was invited to visit the Sai Baba Day-School.

.

.

The school is located just outside of Belo Horizonte and has 18 pupils and 3 teachers.

.

.

Swamiji and our small group received an extremely sincere and warm welcome.

.

.

Swami Vishwananda was very impressed by this project and enjoyed the landscape around, known as "Crystal-Hill"

The Darshan was very well prepared. 180 people enjoyed the evening with Swami Vishwananda and with a very good Bhajan group. Swamiji took a lot of time with everybody and he also recognized some visitors from last year.

He spoke very beautifully about peace which can come only out of our inner heart.

The next day (12. March) there was the Atma Kriya teacher initiation outside of Belo Horizonte. In the late afternoon we went back into the city where the Mudra 2 course took place.

Arrival in Belo Horizonte / Brazil

After a 22 hours long trip from Mexico with 4 times transfer on different airports Swami Vishwananda arrived in Belo Horizonte.

He was picked up by a very happy Louisa, the coordinator of Brazil.

In Guadalajara

5th March

In the middle of the night we arrived in Guadalajara and received a very heartfelt welcome.

The next day (6th march) we went to visit the city and some Churches. It is a very green, nice city!

Swamiji liked the little streets with all the little shops and went directly in a little indian shop with a small Govinda Krishna Temple beside.

.

After the shopping we prepared for Darshan. Swamiji gave a Satsang, answered a lot of questions in his wonderful way and a lot of visitors slowly lost their timidity.

Raoul and his friend sung wonderful Kirtans and at the end of the Darshan all the 120 people sat quietly and did not want to leave.

Today, 7th March we went by bus to the West coast where there will be a Yagna directly on the beach!

Picnic with Swami Vishwananda

Always when Swami Vishwananda goes to Mauritius, he takes one day off with all his devotees there. Then they rent a bus and go to different places and temples all over the island. They take drums and cymbals and the whole time in the bus is a big party.

They had a picnic near the seaside where Swamiji had big fun splashing around and wetting everybody. (It's a pity that we dont have any photos of this)

.

.

There was also a quiet time of a little meditation as you see on the picture.

At the Sea

During the time Swami Vishwananda was in Mauritius, one day he went to the seaside with his devotees.

During the white night of St Petersburg, the sky is still clear at midnight. Swami Vishwananda stands before the statue of Peter the Great.

Swami Vishwananda with Russian Devotees on the river Neva which flows through much of the centre of the city. The bridges opens at night to let the big boats go through.

Swami Vishwananda at the Holy sepulcre Church in Jerusalem

Visiting the Golgotha where Jesus Christ was crucified.

On both sides of the altar you see the golgotha rock. Under the altar you can put your hand inside the square hole where the cross was fixed in the rock.
