Today is Hanuman Jayanti!

Sri Swami Vishwananda said in his speech on Hanuman Jayanti 2010:

"Mahavishnu decided to incarnate as Rama and after that, He incarnated alone. So all the Deities, all the Devas incarnated.

At the same time He was asking Shiva: 'You are the Lord of the Universe, you are realised. You are one with God all the time, but tell me one thing:

On whom are you meditating, like that? You always sit in meditation, but for sure you are meditating on somebody.'

Shiva replied: 'Yes, all my thinking and all my mind, all my concentration, my meditation is only on God, Mahavishnu. So whenever I meditate it’s on Mahavishnu, that I’m meditating and my Love for Him doesn’t have any limit. So now that He is going to be incarnated on earth as Rama, I’m thinking also to be incarnated.'

So Hanuman is a manifestation of Shiva. He is a pure incarnation of Shiva actually. He is not just part of Shiva, but a full manifestation of Shiva.

Even if Shiva has space in Shiva Loka, in His body, He is a full manifestation of Hanuman. That’s why it’s said that if you can not pray to any Gods, pray only to Hanuman - you will have everything. And when you chant the Hanuman Chalisa, this part of the Hanuman Chalisa that says: 'I don’t pray to anybody, but only to you.'

'Aura Devata Chitta na dharayi,
Hanumata se yi sarva sukha karayi'.

It means: even if you don’t pray to any Deity, but only to Hanuman, you will receive the blessing of all the Deities."

Darshan in Ins, Switzerland, 4.4.2014

After one day's rest we went to the next location of the Swiss Darshan tour: to Ins, near the Lake of Neuchâtel. About 400 people streamed into the beautifully decorated darshan hall.

Swami started, as in Rheinfelden, first with a simple Radhe Krishna Bhajan and urged everyone to sing along with him loudly. After a few problems warming up and with the help of Swami's instructions everybody sang loudly.

Guruji began his speech with a question that was put to him recently: "How is it that one could work great miracles with mantras in times long ago, and this is no longer so today?"

Swami Vishwananda explained that earlier the people felt a strong love when they got their Guru Mantra. Today, trust and faith is lacking. The attitude of the people today is as follows: "Guruji, please give me a mantra - but please fast, my taxi is waiting, I must go." And then they go to another master and say, "I love you too - please give me a mantra," and so accumulate mantras. How can the mantra give its effect?

Thousands of years ago, people had the same mantra sung as we did right now (the Bhajan). The difference is that the people at that time felt great love and humility in it. Getting a mantra is easy but what we do with it, how we work with it, is another matter.

Before a master assigns a mantra, he looks to whether the person is ready for it. In times past, it was a great honor to get a Guru mantra and you had to serve the Guru for a minimum of 12 years, and even then it was not sure if you would get a mantra.

Swami then told us the story of Dukhi Krishna also named Prabhu Shyamananda:
Already as a small boy Dukhi Krishna wanted nothing other than to serve his master. At the age of 14, he went to his master, who gave him one single task: to water the plants in the Ashram. Every day he had to go long distances and carry the water in a large clay pot on his head. He fulfilled this task with such great love and devotion that he did not even notice how the heavy clay pot hurt his head. He developed a wound on his head, which became infected so strongly that even maggots and worms came out. But in his love, Dukhi Krishna didn't notice this at all. One day he met his master, who saw the worms coming out from the wound. Only when the Master asked him about it, Dukhi Krishna realized his injury. There upon the Master put his hand on his head, healed him, and explained that his task was now fulfilled in Ahsram and that he should go to Vrindavan.

There Dhuki Krishna took the task to sweep a certain street. This road led to the place where today the Ras Lila Dance took place between Krishna and the Gopis. One day Dukhi Krishna found an anklet chain there, that was so valuable that it could only belong to a queen. But the only queen in Vrindavan is Radharani. Radha, who was meanwhile back in the heavenly world, noticed that her anklet was missing. She sent a companion to Dukhi Krishna to ask for the anklet back. But Dukhi Krishna demanded that the true owner herself come to regain the chain. And so Radharani came, disguised as a simple village girl to Dukhi Krishna. However, he wanted to return Her the chain only when She revealed Herself to him in Her true form. Radha, who saw the love and devotion in Dukhi Krishna, showed him Her divine form, gave him the name Shyamananda, and set Her foot on his forehead, which left an imprint behind. This impression is the point that we carry in the Tilak, representing the Guru, because it was the grace and divine guidance of the guru who brought Dhuki Krishna to the point that he could have the vision of Radharani. Only when we have experienced the vision of the divine, we have achieved the goal of life .

After this beautiful story, the Darshan started and lasted until 1:30 in the morning. After, there was a meal for all the helpers organized at the home of Marie and Cliven Tirvengadum from Mauritius with Mauritian dishes, so that Guruji feel like at home.

18 Day Bhagavad Gita Course with Sri Swami Vishwananda

“Whenever there is a decline in Dharma, whenever human beings are moving away from the path, whenever human beings are getting entangled by all the negativity, the Lord will come to the rescue.”
- Bhagavad Gita, Chapter IV, Verse 7

Most teachers give discourses on spiritual text from the mind level, because they haven’t had the opportunity to directly experience the Divine. When a teacher has directly experienced the Divine, their teachings have one characteristic that sets them apart from everyone else, and that is Simplicity. Swami Vishwananda who is constantly in communion with the Divine has the ability to take spiritual text and make it simple, so normal people who haven’t spent their whole lives reading scripture, can understand what God has to say.
The Bhagavad Gita, literally meaning the “Song of the Lord”, is an ancient Indian scripture composed in the form of a dialogue between God and man. It reveals the purpose and goal of human existence. It describes the science of self-realisation and the exact process by which human beings can establish their eternal relationship with God.
For the first time, Sri Swami Vishwananda has decided to give commentary on the Bhagavad Gita for 18 consecutive days. To receive the wisdom from a spiritual master, as He demystifies and expands on one of the greatest spiritual texts ever composed, will be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
For Swamiji to guide and help participants in the Course, it is recommended that the participants have basic understanding of Lord Krishna’s life and why the Mahabharata War had to take place. Recommended readings include: “Sri Krishna Lila by the author Vanamali.”
The Course will be held at Shree Peetha Nilaya the “abode of the Divine Mother” and a place of non-stop spirituality. It will take place from July 30th – August 16th, 2014.
Translations will be provided in Russian, French, German, and other languages upon request.

Satsang in cold, cold Springen

.
.
It was a wonderful Satsang- interesting questions and brilliant answers!
.
.
We would like to bring up one of the questions in particular, because many people ask this:
.
'Which Mantra should we do: Our Guru Mantra or Om Namo Narayanaya?'
.
Swamiji's answer: "Chant your Guru Mantra in the morning (inside) and then the rest of the day you can chant 'Om Namo Narayanaya'.
With chanting your Guru Mantra you receive not only the blessing from your Guru, you receive the blessing from all Gurus of the world.
'Om Namo Narayanaya' is everything! This mantra awakens the desire to attain the goal of life (self-realisation)"

How to heal Negativity

. Swami Vishwananda once said:
.
.
"...turning the mind within. What is happening outside is also happening inside. Does all the outside make us happy? No! We can see too much suffering in the outside. We want to change. So, how do we change all this? We must change! The more we focus on negative things – news, chit-chatting – the more we become negative. The more negative energy we create, the more negative things happen. Better is to be calm, be at peace and go inside. Go in calmness into the depths of your heart. Then you will become a temple of inner peace."

The "How" is important says Swami Vishwananda

.

.
"The sweetness that you have inside of you

is waiting to be awakened.
.
It doesn’t matter which path you follow,
which sadhana you are doing.
.
How you are doing your sadhana
is most important."

Today Swami Vishwananda was looking at this Miracle

As St Theodora was dying, she wished that her hairs become trees and her body a chapel. Since centuries this miracle can be seen in Peloponese. Huge trees are growing on a small chapel roof.

Swami Vishwananda talked

About the creation of the Word, Swami Vishwananda said: "From the golden Egg God manifasted Himself in a form, remaining Himself without a form. From the golden Egg came out the Trinity: Brhama, Vishnu, Maheshwara.
Latter God created an Ego. The Ego of God is the soul of Man. Giving an identity means a puting a limitation."

Swami Vishwananda had a lot of nice questions to answer

During the Satsang Swami Vishwananda answered about the free will of man: " Like Rama Krishna said, the free will of man is like a cow in a field tied with a rope to a pole."

Shiva said to Parvati “One can attain all knowledge of this world, but if one is ignorant about the Teacher all the knowledge is meaningless”.

"...The Guru gives Himself fully to his disciple. He gives Himself fully to the devotee. What the devotee has to do is to be like an empty receptacle and receive everything...."

Meditation

Aditya writes:

Here is a nice meditation Swamiji gave in Poland about Divine Mother. I have done it for a couple of days now, it is very nice.

Meditation: Sit in the Divine Mother's Lap (given by Guruji during the darshan in Poland)

Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting on the lap of the Divine Mother. See yourself small sitting in Her lap. Just enjoy being in her lap. Feel Her motherly love, Her protection. Feel that you don’t need to bother about anything. You’re a child – what should you bother about? What should you think about? Just be...
Now talk to the Mother. Talk to the Mother the same way you talk to everybody. Ask Her whatever you want. See and hear Her answering you.
Now, when you have tasted the sweetness of the Mother, know that She is always with you. Ever ready to help you, ever ready to fulfill all your wishes. Don't be shy to ask. Because She is the only one that gives. She has abundance, she has to give more that you can think. So take from the inexhaustible source.

Loyalty to the Guru

One of the questions last weekend in Italy was:

"What does it mean exactly: to be loyal to a Guru?"

Swamiji's answer was very direct and clear:

"That means: even if you disagree, you don't harm. You remove yourself from the front and put your Guru on the first place. As more you do this, as more grace you will come through your Guru!"

God is Fair!

During a Satsang Swami Vishwananda was asked:
"We say God is fair, then why is it that we see good people suffering and bad people happy in their lives?"

Morning above some temples in Vrindavan near the River Yamuna
Swami’s response:
Each person born brings karma with him into this world, and thereby each has a certain destiny. When someone is doing bad things and is thinking that is the reality, do you think he will want God? It will be greatly difficult for this person to move away from all those things and realize God. Whereas good people who are always suffering, continuously focus on God and pray, 'Oh God, please make my suffering go away.'
Krishna in Vrindavan

Do you know Krishna? He’s next to Jesus (Krishna came in the linage of the Great Masters and Jesus came next). Krishna lived about 5000 years ago. Similarly, the Hindus have Krishna and the Christians have Jesus. Krishna had an aunt named, Ghandari. There came a time when there was a big war in which all the sons of his aunt were killed. After that event, Krishna came to his aunt and said, “What do you want?” Do you know what she answered? “My Lord, give me many problems so that I always will remember you.” So, when people have everything and are always happy, they forget about God. But when problems arise again in the life, they run again to seek the Divine help. As you said, “God is fair,” and He always gives.
