Kumbh Mela with Swami Vishwananda (6)
Today is the most important bathing day and at around midnight, our group went to a special place to take a dip in the Ganga.
Sorry for the low quality but the picture gives a nice relaxed impression of our group
Swami Kuru writes:
Many historic things are happening: it will be the first time a group of westerns is allowed to bathe with the naga-babas and - the first time that women can join!
And also the very first time ever that the lowest caste can bathe in the Ganges!
Swami Anashuya, Mira and Nikhil, they are so radiant and shining

Kumbh Mela 2013 with Swami Vishwananda (5)
This morning, Swami Vishwananda was invited to visit the tent of Swami Nithyananda and be part of the morning puja.
He was welcomed by Swami Nithyananda very heartfully.
They know each other for many years.
After the official meeting, there was a private talk and a big hug between 'colleagues'
Jai Guru Dev!
Swami Kuru wrote that they will sleep only 3 hours every night and sometimes there is no electricity to charge the mobile phones.
Tonight arround midnight, they will go for a long walk by foot, because the 10th of February is astrologically the most important day (Mauni Amavasya Snan - Main Bathing Day, Dark Moon) to take a bath in Mother Ganga.
Hopefully they have fully charged batteries and will send some pictures!
Kumbh Mela with Swami Vishwananda (4)
Swami Kuru writes from Kumbh Mela:
Our first day here: lots of devotees, lots of chanting, lots of happy faces!
Meeting a lot of Gurus...
People are enchanted by the sweetness of our dearest Guruji.
We are already close to run out of the little cards with Guruji's picture that we hand out...
About to meet Paramahamsa Nithyananda in the early hours of the second day.

Kumb Mela with Swami Vishwananda (3)
On the first day during a bus trip, Swami Vishwananda answered some questions:
- Are Mercy and Grace the same?
- Everyone is looking for the mercy of the Lord, also the Christians pray for mercy when they say 'Kyrie Eleison'. Mercy means taking the person under God/Guru’s wings. Grace is total surrender and completely different, said Swami.
- Do we have to do something wrong first to then get the mercy of the Lord? asked SV Vijaya.
- No, Kripa is mercy. To progress on your spiritual way, you need the mercy of the Lord. Because there are many obstacles on the spiritual path and through His mercy, He takes the obstructions away. Otherwise without His mercy the people just forget about their path. But to get His mercy you need to have the longing for it. First you need the longing. Once you get the mercy there are no obstructions and you can do your true Sadhana, says Swami.
- So, once you attain the mercy of God you are safe? asked Pramod.
- Yes, and the Grace of the Lord comes later, during your Sadhana. But you need both together: the mercy and the Grace, says Swami.
Kumbh Mela with Swami Vishwananda (2)
Yesterday afternoon, the Pilgrimage group went on a boat trip on Mother Ganga together with Swamiji.
Of course they sung...
Swami VishwaKeshavaAnanda did Abishekam to his small Krishna Murti with Ganges water (Om Gange cha yamune Chaiva...)
Today morning, (4:15 our time) the Pilgrimage group is on the way to Allahabad where the Kumbh Mela 2013 is taking place.
We hope that it will still be possible for Swami Kuru to send messages and pictures!

Kumbh Mela Pilgrimage with Swami Vishwananda (1)
As you know, since the 15th of January, the Kumbh Mela is being celebrated for 55 days at Allahabad in India.
Last week, Swami Vishwananda travelled to India ( he was shortly in Calcutta, visiting some Temples) and afterwards, he went to Varanasi, where the whole pilgrimage group met yesterday.

New Year's Eve with Swami Vishwananda
After welcoming the New Year 2013 with bhajan singing, at about 00:20 we all went outside and the fireworks started.
The boys did a great job! The fireworks seemed like they were almost professional!
The Divine Mother was watching the fireworks as well!
We all wish you a happy and blissful year 2013!
