Darshan last night

Sri Swami Vishwananda's Shree Peetha Nilaya Darshan Talk 26 February 2011 (excerpt)
A few days ago somebody asked me “Swamiji, you always say pray to God, always, but I am working on the outside (in the world). How will I attain the Divine?” Many of you ask this question. The answer is simple. Of course, one’s duty is very important; one can’t not do one’s duty. In the Gita it [is] said that the dharma one has to do. No matter what, dharma is very important, but how one has to do it, that is the most important.
There is one form of doing one’s duty, [which] is nishkama karma, which means to do ones duty without expecting anything, to do ones duty in rendering service to others without even thinking of the result. That’s what the Gita said: If one does [and] one is attached to the fruit of the action, one will suffer. It’s true, because when we do certain things there is expectation and when that expectation is not met, what happens? You get sad. You feel upset. Where does this come from? You created it. You make yourself sad.
So when one does ones duty without even expecting something, the mind is already surrendering to the Divine. When the mind has the satvik (without impurities) quality, the mind doesn’t have any power into it. This is where whatever one does is a complete surrender to the Divine, whereas when one gets a little bit mixture of the rajasic (passionate; active; restless) quality into the satvik quality, then one will, always, say “I will do good to the world.” Into that state we’ll see that the I is very big. Whenever the mind pictures the I, it doesn’t mean the I of the Self; it means, always, the I of the ego, [which says] "I can do this; I can do that." As long as you have not Realised your Self, the I of the ego is, always, big. That’s why it is said in the scriptures: Remove this I. Put Him, you know, the Lord, because as long as one has not Realised anything, one has to remind oneself continuously that All, it is Him.

Seva in Kenya

Swami Vishwananda Seva Society did a seva the 19th of February at joy town primary school which is based in thika. This school has about 400 children suffering from either mentally challenged or physical disabilities.

The seva group bought bread, juice, sweets, milk and clothes for the children. We received donations from Canada which was equivalent to Ksh 15,000. The donations were through individuals and collected by Satish.

The children were so happy and excited to have us there. We have done almost 4 seva in this place since last year. It was beautiful to receive this love from them.

Swami Vishwananda seva Group in Kenya

Just before we had this seva, someone popped this question to me - What do we mean by seva? And it made me wonder!!

Seva actually is to serve all selflessly, with love just as you would serve the divine because he lives in all of us. It could be from making someone smile to sending healing!!

When we visited the children, so many thoughts run through the mind, that how the grace of the divine has been with us that we are so blessed to at least be in a state that we can understand the gift of life. Yet, we are always unsettled, we want more? We never satisfied. Then what would I say about the kids?

We request all those who will read this report, to take a moment, and visualize these children and pray for them to heal. Take a moment to reflect your life, and feel the grace of God that has always been there with you.

Satsang in Switzerland of Swami Vishwananda

Swami Vishwananda answered questions of devotees saying" The Trinity is inside of us. We have the qualities of creation, protection and destruction in us. We create things with our mind, we protect our child, we destroy, also, a lot. The mind is the greatest yogi, because it is always searching, always on the search. The mind tries to understand everything and so creates the duality."

Swami Vishwananda had a nice welcome in Switzerland

After singing some new bajans, Swami Vishwananda gave darshan to 200 visitors.

Satsang of Swami Vishwananda

"When you are Realised, you see that every action, everything is coming from God. Now we are not aware of it. The goal of Kriya Yoga is to be aware of the Divine Consciousness in every action of our daily life." said Sri Swami Vishwananda

Swami Vishwananda talked

About the creation of the Word, Swami Vishwananda said: "From the golden Egg God manifasted Himself in a form, remaining Himself without a form. From the golden Egg came out the Trinity: Brhama, Vishnu, Maheshwara.
Latter God created an Ego. The Ego of God is the soul of Man. Giving an identity means a puting a limitation."

Darshan of Swami Vishwananda

Swami Vishwananda says: "We have to accept ourself, to accept every small and big thing of our daily life, to accept how we are. Our humanity will grow then to a higher level which is divine."

Swami Vishwananda had a lot of nice questions to answer

During the Satsang Swami Vishwananda answered about the free will of man: " Like Rama Krishna said, the free will of man is like a cow in a field tied with a rope to a pole."

16 Feb 2011

Satsang with Swami Vishwananda

At the question "What is the Self ?" Swami Vishwananda said: "Many spiritual people will say 'I am God', as they read it in books. But can you do everything that God is doing? As long as the mind is not open, we cannot perceive the Self. Narada had a short vision of God and became mad of Love for God. The Self is Love, Light and supreme Bliss. When you will have a taste of the Self you forget everything. But how many will attain this? How many really want to attain the Self ?"
